102-year-old presidential aspirant, Mrs. Nonye Josephine Ezeanyaeche has vowed that she will do better than what President Muhammadu Buhari has done if elected President.

She said that President Buhari did not understand the challenges facing Nigeria before becoming the President.

Mrs. Ezeanyaeche insisted that she understands the challenges and has the perfect plan to make Nigeria better if the citizens of the country will elect her in 2023 as their president.

The centenarian regretted that Buhari has been overwhelmed by the experiences he met in office but she can do better because she would take a different approach.

According to her, “Buhari has tried his best but his best is not just good enough to salvage this country. He did not realize what he was coming to face, that was why he kept promising Nigerians here and there. But the realities on the ground have dawned on him and it became obvious right from the outset that his capacity could not take Nigeria out of its current mess. He has tried, but the effort is not just enough.

“To answer your question: Can I do better? (Let’s wait) until then because I will take a different approach. I will have better advisers. One thing I can tell you is that Nigeria will be great again under my leadership”.

Mrs Ezeanyaeche also revealed that she is still consulting on the presidential race, she added that many political parties have approached her to become their candidate for the 2023 presidential election.

The elderly politician said she opted to join the 2023 presidential race in Nigeria since the younger generation is not ready to take up the challenge of leading the nation.

She announced her ambition during a recent visit to the management team of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) in Abuja where she was received by the NTA Director-General, Yakubu Ibn Mohammed.

Better known as the ‘living legend’ or ‘Mama Africa’, Ezeanyaeche is an indigene of Aguata, Anambra state, and is the founder of the ‘Voice for Senior Citizens of Nigeria’ group.
