Nigeria’s covid19 figures are currently at a total of 31,987 as at 11th July, 2020. This comes with an alarming 664 new confirmed cases across 18 states.
13,103 patients have so far been successfully managed and discharged while 18,160 are still active.
In all, 178,265 samples have been tested across the entire country since the breakout of the pandemic.

Analysis of cases from states as at 11th July:
World Report:
Scientists say that there are mutations of the covid19 (SARS-CoV-2).
The mutations have resulted in more variants of the disease albeit not deadlier or with more severe symptoms.
The new variant, known as D614G shows a change in the amino acids from D to G in position 614. For that reason, t is called D614G.
Even if the mutation is slow, scientists believe it could make the virus more infectious.
