No fewer than 15 prisoners are reported to have competed their 1st degree programmes in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
The development was revealed in a tweet today, Tuesday, by the Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Social Media, Lauretta Onochie.
Lauretta added that another inmate in the Lagos Correctional Centre just defended his PhD thesis.
She used the occasion to praise the Muhammadu Buhari Administration saying that the government is doing a great job reforming the prison system in Nigeria.

“In Lagos, an inmate has defended his PHd thesis -CG NCS.
“The govt is doing a great job of reforming the prison system with therapy and vocational training. #ProgressNigeria“
In another development, Lauretta gave an update on the news that trended yesterday about the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy being an alleged ally of terror groups.
