Popular Yoruba actor, Baba Ijesha collapsed in the court premises today after the presiding judge sentenced him to 16 years in prison.
The convict was being led out of the court yard by prison officials when he suddenly passed out but was help to his feed by the security guards.
The charges were preferred against him by the Lagos State Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP).
The actor faced a 6-count charge of indecent treatment of a child, sexual assault, attempted sexual assault by penetration, and sexual assault by penetration.
The offences contravene sections 135, 137, 202, 262, 263 of the Lagos State Criminal Law 2015 which stipulate life imprisonment for offenders.
