Nigeria’s total covid19 figure is currently 34,854 as at the 16th of July, 2020. This is with the addition of 595 confirmed new cases posted by 24 states.
Since the index cases was reported, 202,097 samples have been tested. 14,292 patients have been successfully managed and discharged while 19,793 are still active.
Total number of deaths since the breakout of the pandemic in the country is 769.

Grand daughter of Nelson Mandela and son to Zindziswa Mandela who died suddenly during the week has been speaking about the cause of her mother’s death.
According to Zondwa in an interview with SABC, Zindzi had tested positive to covid19 before she died on the 13th of July.
He added however, that the family is waiting for the post motem examination report.
