17th June, 2020 saw an additional 587 new confirmed cases of covid19. The cases were reported across 18 states with Lagos still maintaining the lead in growing infections.

The Edo State house of assembly closed down its premises to carry out a fumigation exercise.

The measure is taken to stem possible infections of the coronavirus.
