1st June covid19 incident report sees an increasing spike of 416 confirmed new cases of covid19 infections across 20 Staes of Nigeria. This brings to 10,578, the total confirmed infections since the breakout of the disease.

Jigawa state 1st June incident:
A medical doctor in Jigawa State has died of #COVID19 after treating a patient with the disease.
The Chairman of the Nigerian Medical Association, Nura Basirka announced the incident on Monday.
According to him, 36-year old Dr Naseer Adam contracted the disease after treating a patient with an acute respiratory illness 3 weeks prior.
According to Basirka, “the patient returned to the hospital due to worsening breathlessness and after isolation, the patient tested positive for covid19.
“Four days ago, the doctor started having running nose and dry cough.
“He was later admitted in the hospital for acute respiratory disease which was later confirmed as covid19.”
