The Lagos State Police Command says it has arrested 2 suspects in connection with missing 22-year-old Ayanwole Oluwabamise, a passenger who boarded a BRT bus from Chevron bus stop Lekki.
The young lady boarded the Oshodi-bound bus at about 7:00pm on the 26th of February and was a lone passenger.
She sent text messages to a close friend after she got an eerie feeling in the bus. Soon afterwards, sent a message home that 3 other passengers joined her and after that, no one else.
CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu, spokesperson of the state police command, said that as soon as the report got to the police, an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of the lady was immediately initiated.
He stated that to ensure a speedy and diligent investigation, the Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alabi, immediately directed the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti to take over the case.
The police spokesperson added that in the course of the ongoing investigation, two suspects have been arrested and are currently helping in the investigation.
Ajisebutu added that police detectives will continue to work tirelessly to find the missing lady and bring her abductors to justice, the Command appealed to anyone with useful information that could help in its investigation to promptly give it to them for further necessary actions.
Oluwabamise is an indigene of Moba L.G.A. in Ekiti State. She is approximately 5 feet tall, dark in complexion and speaks Yoruba and English languages fluently.
