Like many All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential aspirants, Nigeria’s youngest Governor, Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has paid a visit to President Muhammadu Buhari in Aso Rock to intimate him of his intention to succeed him.
Speaking with State House correspondents at the end of the meeting, Bello said he came to inform the President of his intention to join the 2023 presidential race.
The Kogi governor said he has the required qualities to succeed President Buhari in 2023, stressing the need for a young, vibrant, experienced, energetic leader to become the next leader of the country.
Bello has consistently stated that Nigerians are yearning and asking him to run for President in 2023 and he has accepted to join the presidential race.
According to him, 8“Mr President would want a vibrant, experienced, energetic, patriotic Nigerian to take over from him and in all of the qualities that Nigerians are yearning, or looking for today, I possess all of these qualities by the special grace of God.
“Nigerians are yearning and asking myself to run for the President come 2023 and by the special grace of God, I will not turn down that offer.
Also, Mr President is one of the Nigerians like I said who would want a qualified person to take over from him.”
