The 21-year-old undergraduate, Lois Azurfa who was abducted in the AbujaKaduna train attack has revealed what transpired when the commander of the terrorists group proposed to her in captivity.

The terror group attacked, killed and kidnapped passengers on the Abuja-Kaduna train on the 28th of March. Azurfa was one of those taken into the den of the bandits.

The victims were released in batches with the intervention of government authorities and some individuals. The young lady was one of the very last to be set free.

However, while sharing her experience in captivity for 191 days, Azurfa said the terrorist commander offered to marry her.

Narrating her ordeal in an interview with Punch, the young lady said the terrorist commander approached her because she was the youngest and a Christian.

According to Azurfa, she told him that she could not marry him because she is still young and barely knew them.

She noted that having rejected their offer they kept coming with threats.

Azurfa said, “He approached me, that he is one of of their superiors, their commander, so he approached me because I was the youngest there and then I’m actually a Christian. He approached me and he said he liked me and wanted to marry me and keep me in the camp.

“I told him I could not because I’m still young and then I could not just take that decision because I barely knew them and the fact that they were my abductors.

And then why would you just offer to marry me and then I would still accept? So at that point I actually rejected but then they subsequently kept coming with threats.”
