Lagos State, 22nd April update:
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu unveiled a new isolation centre at the Landmark, Oniru convention centre.
The centre has an 80-bed capacity and 10 ICU units. It is scheduled to start operation next week.
He advised Lagosians that “whilst we continue to perform our roles and responsibility, of keeping the state free of the virus, we would also implore citizens to play their roles, as it is our collective responsibility to beat the #COVID19 scourge.”
The governor added that citizens should endeavour to:
- Report suspected cases to the appropriate authorities
- Observe personal hygiene
- Avoid stigmatisation
- Maintain social distancing
- Stay home
- Stay safe

- Total: infections: 2,638,024
- Deaths: 184,235
- Recovered: 721,734
- Active cases: 1,732,055
- 1,675,379 (97%) in mild condition
- 56,676 (3%) serious or critical
- Closed cases: 905,969
