Sunday 24th May saw another high number of new confirmed cases of covid19 infections. The new 313 cases bring the total number of confirmed cases to 7,839 since the breakout of the disease.

Lagos State #COVID19 report, 24th May, 2020:
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu announced the discharge of 31 new patients from isolation centres in Lagos. They include 12 females and 19 males.
Isolation centres with discharged patients:
- Mainland Infectious diseases Hospital, Yaba: 1
- Onikan: 13
- Gbagada: 11
- Agidingbi: 5
- Lagos University Teaching hospital (LUTH): 1
Total number of successfully managed and discharged patients since the outbreak of covid19 now stands at 738
Governor Sanwo-Olu expressed optimism that the chain of transmission will be broken if everyone observes the recommended preventive measures.
The measures include practice of hand hygiene, wearing of face masks and social distancing.
He also thanked health workers for the progress made so far as the state battles the pandemic.
