The 27 students of the Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation, Afaka, Kaduna State, who were kidnapped have been freed by their abductors.
The freed students were among the 37 others abducted from the school premises by suspected bandits recently.
The latest development ws confirmed to Daily Trust bu one of the people who received the students.
He noted that their release was facilitated by Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi.
37 students were initially abducted about 2 months ago while 10 were released after parents and the school management allegedly paid some ransom.
The students’ abductors had initially demanded a N500 million ransom from the Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El Rufai who vowed never to pay any ransom to bandits.
