Coronavirus Pandemic

Nigeria recoded 490 new confirmed cases of covid19 on the 28th June 2020. Lagos still tops the chart with 118 cases followed by Delta with 84 new cases.

The new cases were reported from 20 states.

Total confirmed cases since the breakout of the pandemic in Nigeria currently stands at 24,567 while 565 fatalities have been recorded.

Worldwide Report as at 28th June:

Covid19 deaths have surged beyond 500,00 across the world.

US State of Florida is the current epicentre of the dreaded covid19. US officials warn that there is likely to be a spike in younger people in the state.

Gov Ron DeSantis

Florida reported 9,585 new infections on Saturday alone surpassing New York’s single-day highest number ever.

Gov Ron DeSantis adduces the spike to increased testing. However, experts insist the figures are a reality and not linked to increased testing.
