Babajide Sanwo-Olu was sworn in exactly one year ago. He spent the day celebrating the frontline health workers who have dared to fight covid19 with all they have got.
In particular, he honoured 10 of the most dedicated of them.
According to him, “As the epicentre of the outbreak in the country, Lagos has taken charge and offered the required leadership in the response to stop the virus.
“To demonstrate our commitment to winning the battle, the least we can do on the occasion of our first anniversary is to select representatives of the frontline health workers and appreciate them for all they do.
“We are not out of the woods nor have we reached the peak, but we certainly cannot wait until the crisis is over before we start acknowledging the sacrifices of these extremely committed people.
