By the 2nd June 2020, Nigeria recorded 10,819 total infections of #COVID19 with an additional 241 confirmed new cases. The new cases were recorded in 14 states.

- FCT: 13
- Kano: 12
- Edo: 11
- Delta: 10
- Kaduna: 9
- Rivers: 9
- Borno: 8
- Jigawa: 4
- Gombe: 3
- Plateau: 3

- Bauchi: 1
Highlights of total figures by 2nd June, 2020:
- Samples tested: 65,885
- Confirmed cases: 10,819
- Currently active: 7,266
- Recovered and discharged: 3,239
- Deaths: 314
The Director General of the National Centref or Disease Control (NCDC) says that 75% of recent confirmed cases of covid19 cannot be traced to any origin.
The implication is that community transmission is on the rise.

Lagos State Covid19 report, 2nd June, 2020:
The state recorded 33 recoveries. They include 7 females and 26 males. Among them are 3 Indian nationals.
The patients were successfully managed at:
- Onikan: 21
- Eti Osa: 9
- Lekki: 2
- Gbagada: 1
In total, 908 cases have been discharged in Lagos since the index case surfaced in the state.
Earlier in the day, the government of Lagos State announced that it was not going to re-open churches and mosques any time soon. This is in view of the lack of commitment of worship leaders to crowd control.
State government officials say that the moment the leaders give enough commitment and adequate structures are in place to ensure safe hygiene practices and social distancing, the worship centres will be allowed to resume.
