As of 30th April by 11:50 pm, 204 new confirmed cases of the coronavirus disease were reported bringing the country’s total confirmed infections to 1,932.
Of particular interest is the fact that Kano has overtaken Lagos with number of new confirmed cases.
Kano has seen hundreds of mysterious deaths in the last week.

Lagos State Report:
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has further clarified modalities for the gradual easing of the lockdown.
Emphasis was laid on the banks whom he singled out to completely open with the full compliment of their services in all branches.
According to the governor, “It is important to acknowledge the role of the banking sector in sustaining the economy. Hence, the banks are encouraged to open all their branches and offer their full compliment of services to the public within the stipulated hours of 9:00am to 3:00 pm
“They must also ensure that their ATMs and other devises used by members of the public are regularly disinfected and sterilised.
“We will be unveiling a whistle blower channel to report organisations that flout the new directives. Whistle blowers would be guaranteed full protection and their identities would be strictly confidential.
“I will be inaugurating a committee of various stakeholders to communicate the newly introduced guidelines to our members
for ease of implementation and compliance.
“It is a gradual and controlled easing of the lockdown. We will continue to monitor the health situation and economic impact. with a view to adjust our response accordingly.
“Residents and organisations are hereby advised to adhere strictly to these new directives, as members of the public who are
found wanting, would face the full wrath of the law.”
