A 40-foot snake has been caught at the Elegushi area of the Lekki Peninsula, Victoria Island, Lagos.
It is not certain what day the dangerous reptile was found but residents at the scene say that it was sighted at the home of a woman with 6 children.
They fear that there may be many more of such animals as it may have had many offsprings or there may just be a colony of them within the neighbourhood considering the thick bushes and moulded blocks around.
The concerned neighbours estimate it may be as old as 6 years.
