A 41-year-old woman had notidea whatsoever that she was pregnant until she saw her baby’s head coming out of her.
Karla Akuhata from New Zealand thought she was merely bloated because of stress or a medical condition until she began to feel cramps one night.
She was in shocked when she realised she was about to deliver a baby right on her bed, in her bedroom.
Karla told NZ Herald that when she felt a baby head coming out of her, she simply went along with the sensation she felt.
According to her, “There was a baby’s head coming out of me, there was nothing else to do but go with it, it just made sense to stay there. He just lay there and nuzzled and made all the baby noises. I kind of knew from the noises he was making that he was all good.”
The 41-year-old surprised mother named her son Tamarangi because she said he was a total surprise. Karla had also spoken to her mum after the birth of her son. She said her much continually teased her about her big stomach.
Karla had her first son 15 years ago and struggled to conceive since then. She was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome.
Her kind of pregnancy is a rare one and referred to as stealth pregnancy.
