A county in the UK had jailed a 64-year-old man for serially raping a 13-year-old girl.
Adeyinka Oluwaseyi Ajose was convicted last week by a Croydon Crown Court on a 4-count charge of rape of a girl under the age of 13.
The Metropolitan police reports that the 64-year-old man had pleaded guilty to the multiple sexual offences before the court in April 2021.
He was arrested in November after the police was called in to a residential area in Addington, Croydon.
The 13-year-old accused Ajose of several episodes of sexual assault spanning several months.
The investigation officer, Detective Constable Matthew Amos said that, “I hope that the sentence given will go some way to bringing the victim and her family justice, so that they can begin to rebuild their lives.”
Reports say that the victim was familiar with the convict during the time of the offences.
Ajose has been jailed for 18 years for the offence.
