Nigeria’s covid19 figures have reached 29,286 on 6th July with an additional 575 cases reported across 20 states of the federation.
Lagos leads the pack of new confirmed cases followed by the FCT and Delta state.
16,804 cases are currently active while 11,828 have been successfully managed and discharged.

News across the states:
Zamfara:
The Supervisor in charge of the National Centre for Disease Control in Zamfara State, Dr J J Shalanga is reported to have died of #COVID19.
Benue State:
The Benue State Vice Chairman of the coronavirus committee, Prof Godwin Achinge has also died of complications from the deadly disease.
Prof Achingi was the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academics, Benue State University, Makurdi.
Lagos:
Equally dead is a former General Manager of the Lagos State Infrastructure Maintenance and Regulatory Agency (LASIMRA), Chief Jide Odekunle. He served under the former state governor, Akninwumi Ambode’s administration.
Odekunle was treated at the Onikan Isolation Centre where he died.
