At least 7 people have been arrested over the murder of Khafi Kareem’s Brother, Alexander Kaeem.
Khafi Kareem, a Metropolitan police, was a housemate at the 2019 Big Brother Naija reality TV show.
20-Year old Alexander was gunned down as he rode a scooter at Askew Road, Shepherd’s Bush, West London, June 8. He had only just left a convenience store at mid day on his way to a friend’s place.
BBC reports that investigators from the Met police arrested 7 people including five men between the ages of 18 and 24. A 16-year old boy and a 35-year old woman was also arrested arrested in connection with the murder of Khafi Kareem’s brother
According to Wayne Jolley, a detective chief inspector who leads the investigation, “this is a significant development in the investigation, however, we will not be complacent.
“We will continue to work hard to make sure those responsible are brought to justice.
“I believe this murder to have been a case of mistaken identity, perpetrated recklessly and with no regard whatsoever for human life.
“Alexander’s death is a tragic reminder that carrying a gun has devastating consequences. I urge anyone with information to come forward and speak with us.”
A white range rover jeep was found burnt 25 minutes after the police was called in.
Lamenting the incident, Khafi Kareem said that “this is the mot messed up time in my life. Yet my family has held me up relentlessly. I still don’t know how to come back from all that has happened.
