‘Hausa, Igbo, We Go Vote Am, Our Eyes Don Clear’ – Market Women Lament Hardship (video)

News - Women's Perspective

A video of some market women expressing grievances over the harsh economy and how they can no longer feed their children has surfaced online.

They decided that they would no longer choose leadership based on tribe, but rather a competent leader that would alleviate the sufferings of the people.

One of the women who expressed deep sadness over the lack of profit from her sales, lamented the harsh realities faced by traders and everyday Nigerians.

She highlighted how difficult it has become to make ends meet, with rising costs and dwindling returns on goods sold in the market.

She also stated that if an Igbo and Hausa man can do a better job in turning the economy around, they’ll give their full support as they are no longer blinded by tribalism.
