The Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike has defeated Governor Sim Fubara and other Governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The National Working Committee of PDP has approved the results of Congress conducted by Wike’s group in Rivers State.
The Party also postponed the NWC meeting slated for September 26 to October 24 due to ongoing lesser Hajj in Saudi Arabia.
This decision is against PDP Governors request that Fubara should be the Leader of the party in Rivers State.
