Isreali Health Minister, Yaakov Lizman has tested positive for covid-19.
The test result of the health minister has compelled Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to go into quarantine once again. Netanyahu made the revelation today, Thursday.
The Prime Minister had previously gone into self isolation when one of his close aids tested positive. He came out on Wednesday night only to go a second time.
71-year old ultra-Orthodox Health Minister Yaakov Lizman of the Gur Hassidic sect and wife tested positive to the infectious disease. They are the most prominent members of the sect to get infected.
Notwithstanding, the Health Ministry reports that its Director General, Moshe Bar Siman Tov and everyone who has had contacts with the couple will be quarantined.
It further reports that “Lizman and his wife feel well, are receiving treatment and will be quarantined and supervised.”
Covid-19 has so far infected about 6,360 Isrealis.
