Senator Ibrahim Hassan Hadejia

According to him, “only 46 deaths” occurred. He attributed the deaths to fasting, heat and ill health.

Senator Hadejia added that “a 5-man committee which has a WHO member found only 46 deaths throughout Jigawa. That committee was set up by the governor when he head the news. The committee went to Hadejia, looking for the veracity of the so-called 100 deaths.

“They did a verbal post mortem…over 70% tests done have all come back negative. That says a lot. There is also a malaria problem and the temperature around there has been unusually high.”
