By 5th June 2020, Nigeria recorded 11,844 total confirmed cases of covid19. This comes with an additional 324 new cases spread across 14 states.

Ekiti State report as of 5th June:
Dr Kayode Fayemi

Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State has scheduled a meeting with traditional rulers and religious leaders with a view to discussing modalities for resumption of worship services.

An 11-man committee was inaugurated Thursday with a view to fashioning out modalities that would ensure that lives are not compromised at worship venues.

 

Worldwide covid19 update as of 6th June, 6:10am:
Chloroquine

UK researchers have put a stop to the use of Hydroxychloroquine which they describe as completely useless in the cure for covid19.

Martin Lindray, an Oxford professor made the disclosure in a briefing with reporters.

According to him, “This is not a treatment for #COVID19. It doesn’t work.

“This report should change medical practice worldwide. We can now stop using a drug that is useless.”

  4. Currently active: 3,101,119
  5. Closed cases (cases which had an outcome): 3,749,493
