14th July Covid19 Report: Nationwide, Worldwide

Coronavirus Pandemic

Nigeria has recorded 33,616 confirmed cases of covid19 as at 14th July, 2020. This comes with an additional 463 new cases reported across across 17 states.

13,793 patients were successfully managed and discharged while 19,070 are still active. Sadly, 754 patients died of the dreaded disease.

National covid19 cases for 14th July, 2020:
Lagos- 

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu marked Year 2020 Lagos State Tree Planting Day at the Infectious Diseases Hospital (IDH), Yaba.

According to him, “this year’s event has been dedicated to the Front-line Health Workers and it was tagged: ‘Trees for Life.’ “

The governor said this year’s exercise in the state is to “specially celebrate the bravery, courage and gallantry of our frontline health workers who have committed themselves to win our battle against covid19 even at a high personal risk to themselves.”

He added that “the tree planted today is in memory of their service and sacrifice for many years to come. It is also important to note that Lagos has seen its fair share of climate change and its challenges.”

  1. Total recorded cases: 13,464,486
  2. Deaths: 581,392
  3. Recovered and discharged: 7,855,072
  4. Currently active: 5,028,022
  5. Closed cases (cased which had an outcome): 8,436,464
    • Recovered and discharged: 7,855,072 (93%)
    • Deaths: 581,392 (7%)
