A 32-year-old man identified as Aboh Ogbeche, is reported to have taken his life in front of his mum last Friday.
The incident is reported to have happened at Lawanson, Surulere area of Lagos State.
Reports say he sat in front of his mum and drank a cupful of liquid. The mother thought nothing of it until Ogbeche started convulsing vigorously.
At that moment, she realised he had gulped poison and raised an alarm. He was rushed to the hospital where he was certified already dead.
Sadly, Ogbeche did not leave any suicide note prior to taking his life.
Efforts to decipher reasons for his action have yielded no result as neighbours, friends and relatives describe him as a very lively and friendly person.
Everyone has been in shock with the news of his death and worse still taking his life in front of his own mum.
His friend, Gulf Limmer took to facebook to state her worry about the incident. According to her : “What happened to him ? Why Aboh ? We chatted three weeks ago. Why Ogbeche ? Why did you take your house ?”
The Lagos State police command has not yet received the suicide report, according the spokesman, Bala Elkana.
