A Nigerian woman is reported to have died from complications arising from cosmetic surgery also known as tummy tuck.
Abimbola Bamgbose is said to be a medical doctor herself and had told friends that she was going shopping in Turkey. News also has it that not even her husband or any member of her family was intimated of her mission.
Her husband, according is said to be of the opinion that she was going shopping ahead of her 40th birthday. Other reports say that Mrs Bamgbose needed to enhance her body for her 40th birthday celebration which would have held in a few days time.
One of her friends, Onyinyechi Osunmo insists the deceased was only 38 and not preparing for her 40th birthday. Osunmo added that the woman went with the consent of her husband “because the size of her tummy was giving her serious health concerns”
However, a facebook post by Bamgbose’s husband denied the reason for her death saying that news about his late wife undergoing tummy tuck “had no iota of truth.”
A post by Yeye Kudi who knows Mrs Bamgbose however, says “RIP BOLA !! She went to do tummy tuck in Turkey but did not wake up after the surgery”
The cosmetic surgery has claimed the lives of prominent women who risk their lives to gain the hour-glass figure.
