Ex-BBnaija Star, Tacha Defies Wike's Orders on Rivers EndSARS Protests

Disqualified ex-BBNaija Star, Tacha has defied the orders of the Rivers State Governor on the EndSARS protests. She insists on going on with the planned End-SARS protests in Rivers State.

Governor Nyesom Wike had given orders prohibiting the protests in the state.

A statement signed by the Commission for Information, Paulinus Nsirim on Monday evening said that no form of EndSARS protest will be allowed in the state.

According to the Governor, there should be no need to embark on further protests since the Inspector-General of Police already disbanded SARS.

The statement reads in part that “the Rivers State Government hereby wishes to inform the general public that all forms of protests have been banned thoughout the State.

“Therefore, all proposed protests under EndSARS Campaign are hereby prohibited.

“Government took this decision because the Inspector-General of Police, Muhammed Adamu had already scrapped the Special Anti-Robbery Squad.

“Therefore there is no need for any form of protest against a Unit of the Police Force that no longer exists.

“Parents and guardians are therefore advised to ensure that their children or wards do not violate this order.

“Law enforcement agencies are also directed to ensure that the ban is enforced and that violators are brought to book.”

Unhappy with the orders of the Governor, disqualified ex-BBNaija star, Tacha insists in multiple tweets, on going on with the protests saying that the right to protest is that of every Nigerian.

According to her,

“With all Due respect your Excellency, you are a lawyer and I believe you know better, this is a DEMOCRACY SYSTEM and Rivers State belongs to all the Daughters and Sons of the state. It is our RIGHT TO PEACEFULLY PROTEST AGAINST POLICE BRUTALITY” #SarsMustGoNow#PhProtest

Tacha gives details of the protest itinerary:

“PORTHARCOURT PEACEFUL PROTEST 9AM Tomorrow, we Peacefully March to GOVERNMENT HOUSE

“If you know sey you go cause TROUBLE dey your house

“March Routes: RUMUOLA>>GRA> WATERLINES>> GARRISON>>ISAAC BORO PARK>>GOV HOUSE>>HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY! See you”
