I'm not Activist, Nigeria Turns People to Activists - #EndSARS Promoter

Modupe Odele also known as Moe Mochievous, One of the 20 #EndSARS promoters has cried out about being labeled an activist.

She regrets seeing publications describing her as an activist saying she only resists injustice, oppression and things that are not right.

Unfortunately, according to her, Nigeria’s injustice and oppression turn people to activists.

Moe insists that “I’m quite unserious. All I care bout is just being able to drink my whisky in peace.”

According to her:

“Seeing many publications describe me as an “activist” makes me feel uncomfortable. It is like this title which you have to take up by force simply because you said “no, this can’t be right” A country that turns everyone who speaks up into an activist, still has a long way to go

“I’m not an activist, I’m quite unserious. All I care about is just being able to drink my whisky in peace. But there’s so much injustice around us that it is impossible to that arrrgh. Breaks my heart that this country turns us all into activists. Na wa”

Modupe Odele’s passport was seized by the Nigerian Immigration Service just when she was about to travel out of the country a few days ago.

She however, announced on Friday that the authorities have invited her to come pick it up and she has promised them that she would do so on Monday.

“I’ve been told by Immigration that my passport is ready for collection from 4pm today. I’ve respectfully informed them I’ll be there on Monday to pick it up. Since today is Friday, I asked for an earlier time but was told it will only be ready from 4pm today Friday.”

Modupe’s bank account was one of those frozen by the CBN who described her among one of the 20 #EndSARS promoters funding the protests.
