Covid19: Pregnant Women at Increased Risk from Severe Illness – Government

The Lagos State Government has announced that pregnant women stand a greater risk of severe illness as a fallout of covid19 infection.

In a publication by the Centre for Disease Control today, it advises that it is ‘especially important for pregnant people to protect themselves” by taking the following measures:

  • Limit interactions with people who might have been exposed to or who might be infected wit covid19
  • Wear a mask
  • Avoid others who are not wearing masks
  • Stay at least 6 feet away from others outside your household
  • Wash your hands or use hand sanitiser with at least 60% alcohol
  • Avoid activities where taking these steps might be difficult.
