Former Chief of Naval Administration, Rear Admiral Joe Aikhomu (rtd) is dead.
Reports say he died this morning, Thursday, 25th February of complications linked to covid19.
The younger brother of the former second in command to General Ibrahim Babangida and former Vice President, Admiral Augustus Aikhomu (rtd) was aged 65.
Until his death, Rear Admiral Aikhomu was the chairman of Ocean Marin Solutions (OMS)
He was also a member of the investigative panel on arms procurement between 2007 and 2015.
The late naval officer was reputed in the Navy to be a fine officer with unequalled knowledge of maritime operations and logistics in the Gulf of Guinea.
