Human rights Lawyer, Femi Falana (SAN) has revealed that the Federal Government plans to sell premium motor spirit also known at petrol at N500 per litre by the end of 2021.

Falana made the revelation during a 2-day conference of the People’s Alternative Political Parties Summit titled, “A New Nigeria is Possible.”

He condemned the APC Administration led by President Muhammadu Buhari of not being truthful with the issue of subsidy removal.

The Senior Advocate of Nigeria regretted that government can not be trusted after they told the nation that petrol had been fully deregulated in 2020. That announcement led to the sale of the product at N168 per litre.

According to him, “Last September, this same government announced that following the full deregulation, fuel was going to be sold at N168 per litre.

Today, we are being told that there ill be full deregulation again which will rise the price to N230 per litre. “Let me predict here that if care is not taken, the government intends to sell fuel at N500 per litre before end of the year.
