Reports just received says there is pandemonium at the Isheri-Idimu community in Egbe-Idimu Local Council Development Area after a huge inferno emerged from a pipeline explosion.
The fire which is still raging, gutted one of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, (NNPC) pipelines in the area.
The explosion is suspected to have been caused by the illegal activities of pipeline vandals.
The incident occurred at about 6:30pm at the Idowu-Egba Bus Stop, LASU Isheri Road, leaving residents and passers-by to scamper for safety.
Fire fighters are said to still be battling the inferno as well as another which gutted a building at the Council Bus Stop, Idimu area of the state.
Spokesperson for the state fire service, Mr Amodu Sakiru confirmed the report.
