For the first time since Chidinma Ojukwu murdered her victim, it appears it just dawned on her, the gravity of her actions as she broke down in tears while giving graphic details of the gory incident.
She is captured in a video interview with an NTA correspondent, obviously subdued and repentant as she advises young girls to take their time with wealth acquisition.
She confirmed taking Usifo Ataga’s driver’s licence and other valuables. She said she wanted to steal from him but he was not allowing her so tied him him after the roofies got him into a deep sleep.
Chidinma said she did not count how many stabs she dealt him as she was high on drugs and alcohol. He had taken too much of the drugs he gave her money to order so he was more high than she was.
While he was high on the drugs and in deep sleep, she tied his hand so she could bully him to release some money to her.
She said she has led a lonely life as she hardly had anyone to go to for advise. That way she made so many mistakes in her life.
The 21-year-old UNILAG student said she was sure she would be caught after killing her victim but she still wanted to steal from him. Unfortunately, he would not allow her so they got into a fight.
According to her, he tells her he does not have money each time she requested so she plotted to steal from him.
Chidinma added that they “were not looking forward to getting married.”
Her advise to young girls:
- Take a good turn in life
- Do not associate with anything bad
- Always stay positive and close to God
