Former INEC Commissioner, Solomon Soyebi is Dead

A former national commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC), Prince Solomon Soyebi is dead.

Information gathered from the family said that he died on Thursday, after a brief illness.

Soyebi served as Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Abia, Akwa Ibom and a number of other states.

A top INEC official told The Punch in Akwa Ibom State that Soyebi’s dead is a sad development but could not confirm where he died. .

According to him, “He has been ill, he died this morning but I’m not aware of where he died. I know some time ago, he was abroad. I don’t know where he died, but it is true.”
