Deteriorating Health Causes Bandits to Release Abducted Bethel Student

The deteriorating health condition of one of the abducted students of Bethel Baptist High School, Kaduna has caused his captors to release him.

Reports say the student was returned by two of the abductors and he was immediately taken to the hospital where he is recuperating.

A source who spoke with Daily Post quotes the released student as saying that the bandits treated their captives well. He added that the leader instructed his members that none of the students must be molested.

The released student also told newsmen that the bandits always allowed them observe their religious obligations.

According to the source, the student said that, “We sing choruses and pray loudly without molestation. The leader of the bandits said we must be allowed to worship our God.”

He added that the bandits even asked the students to pray for them each time they were leaving the camp either for operations or to the market so that they will return safely.

Reports also say that the church is doing everything possible to meet the conditions laid out by the bandits to perfect the release of the students.
