Ahead of the marriage of the soon-to-be daughter-in-law to President Muhammadu Buhari and Aisha Buhari, pre-wedding pictures have emerged as questions also arise about who precisely is the young bride.

The love of Yusuf Burai’s life, Zahra is the daughter of the Emir of Bichi, Alhaji Nasir Ado Bayero.

Dignitaries from within and outside Nigeria have begun arriving the Palace of the Emir of Kano, the venue of the wedding.

Stories about the epoch union have been agog on social and print media for the past couple of months.

A 145-man committee of eminent Northerners including governors and ministers was constituted to plan and execute the marriage

In the agenda of the committee is also the coronation of Zahra’s father, the Emir of Bichir which is scheduled for today.

About Zahra:

Zahra is the 19-year-old 2nd daughter of Nasir Ado Bayero, the Emir of Bichi in Kano State. The Emir is the 4th child of the late Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero.

The soon-to-be daughter-in-law of President Buhari is also the daughter of Farida Imam, who is the daughter of the famous Kano educationist, Malam Abubakar Imam (Imamu Galandanci).

Farida was an Executive Director at Afribank Plc. Her other daughter is married to the Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Saad Abubakar III.

Zahra is a 19-year-old final year student of Architecture at the Brighton University in the UK.

In an emotion-laden statement a couple of days ago, her father, the Emir of Bichi said he wished that she had completed her education, spent some time with him, before getting married to the son of President Buhari.

An obviously very private person, young Zahra is not on any social media platform unlike nearly every girl her age.
