A video has surfaced showing residents hailing unknown gunmen who were carrying out a raid on a busy road in Anambra State.
It is not yet certain if anyone was killed during the operation but vehicles were abandoned on the roads by the drivers who scampered to safety.
Other drivers lay flat in their cars as the gun-wielding youths carried out searches in all the vehicles on the road.
While hailing them, the residents urged them to carry on saying that the town is now better with them.
Expectedly, the footage has attracted varying reactions:
