Angel Smith, one of the finalists in the BBNaija ‘Shine Ya Eye’ reality TV show has alleged that she is reaching death threats because of her relationship status.
In a post on her Twitter account, she said the death threats were the result of her affair with an ex-housemate.
The reality TV star stated that she is single and will not be chasing anything that will take away her peace.
According to ANGEL JB SMITH BBN@theangeljbsmith·“I’ve stated time and time again, that I am single and frankly I promise I will not be chasing anything that will take away my peace. Please stop calling me to threaten me because of my affiliation with your “fave”. I am single. Thank you.
“I will also like to state that you can not dictate who I choose to be friends with, I have no intention of stealing your fave from whoever. Please leave me out of whatever enmity is trying to be formed. I am only focused on my brand.
“I’m too content within myself to be out here dragging anyone’s “man”. All I’ve ever needed is myself and I can do very well by myself. I’m back in my own space and that’s all that matters. Thank you.“
Taking to her Instagram page, Angel doubles down on who she is and why she will not live by anyone dictates.
According to her, “To be a woman in modern day society means to look at the sun in its full afternoon glory and pretend it doesn’t burn your eyes, As if the tears that fall out from your eyes because of its scorching rays are tears of joy and not of hurt.
“To be a woman, they say, is to mask your feelings and live as though the things that bring you joy are things to be ashamed of but I refuse to listen because to be a woman is simply to be.
“I refuse to listen because how dare they try to define who I am? I refuse to listen because I have value simply because I exist, I refuse to listen because why should I live according to their own compass of how a woman should be? How she should eat? How she should live?
“I refuse to listen because the world will just have to adjust to the woman I am and the woman I will be, I refuse to listen because how dare they try to define what I am, the body I exist in, to me?
