The Senator representing Anambra North senatorial district, Stella Oduah has stated that President Muhammadu Buhari has done so much for the South East.
The former Minister of Aviation said that Buhari needs to be commended for the various infrastructural developments in the region.
She gave the commendation at an event at the All Progressives Congress (APC) secretariat, in Awka, the Anambra State capital.
The lawmaker recently dumped the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressive Congress (APC).
She was welcomed to the party by the APC Caretaker Chairman, Mai Mala Buni and the Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma.
Ms Oduah stressed that President Buhari has brought the dividends of democracy to the South East and that only ungrateful people will say that he has not done anything for the region.
She maintained that he had executed many projects and that the developments are there for anyone to see.
According to her, “It will amount to self-deceit for anyone to say that President Muhammadu Buhari, and APC does not mean well for the South East region.”
The former Aviation Minister explained that the reason she dumped the PDP for the ruling APC was to enable her get more projects for her constituents and the state as a whole.
The Senator state that while she was in the PDP, her constituents enjoyed little or no dividend of democracy and so was ready to do more them.
She also pledged to work for the victory of the APC and its governorship candidate, Andy Uba in the November 6 governorship election.
