Atiku Abubakar Reacts to Davido’s Donation to Orphanages

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has reacted to Davido’s donation of his entire birthday cash gifts to orphanages.

The award-winning singer had, a few days to his 29th birthday, received donations amounting to over over N200 million from his friends and associates.

This followed his request to his friends to send him at least N1 million each for the birthday.

Within 3 days, the billionaire singer received over N200 million in cash.

By the 3rd day, the musician publicly announced his decision to donate the entire donation with an additional N50 million from his account to orphanages and foundations across the country.

He then constituted a committee to ensure effective disbursement of the money across the entire country.

Davido keeps reiterating that, “you rise by lifting others.”

In his reaction to the singers’ gesture, Atiku Abubakar via a post on his official Facebook on Sunday, commended Davido for “making lifting of others a cornerstone.”
