A teacher in a private school in Abraka, Delta State has been beaten to death by a student who was angry that he flogged his sister.
The teacher, Ezeugo Joseph died yesterday, Thursday, December 2 after the suspect, Michael Ogbeise, an SS3 student attacked him for flogging the sister, Promise.
The spokesperson for the Delta State Police Command, DSP Bright Edafe confirmed the incident.
According to the DSP, “The suspect confronted the teacher because he flogged his younger sister. He blew the teacher, beating him until he collapsed.
“The teacher was rushed to the hospital where he was confirmed dead,” the Police PRO said.
DSP Edafe added that the suspect and his parents are currently on the run, having fled their apartment while Michael’s sister is currently in protective custody.
He added that the body of the teacher has been deposited in the morgue.
