A close aide of President Muhammadu Buhari, Garba Shehu has contracted Covid-19.
The Special adviser to the President on Media and Publicity confirmed he tested positive when he spoke with Channels TV on Saturday, Christmas Day, 25th December, 2021.
One of the close advisers of the President, Shehu said he feels fine, has taken self-isolation and is undergoing treatment.
He added that he has mlld symptoms of the disease, a trait connected with the Omicron variant.
Shehu also said that he would go for further tests to ascertain his status.
The President’s spokesman who is fully vaccinated also stated that the Permanent Secretary of the State House, Tijani Umar and a number of other Aso Rock residents have also undergone Covid-19 tests.
He said that as the time he was speaking to Channels TV, he is not aware of the result their results.
