Precious Chikwendu, ex-wife of politician and former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has confirmed that she is a mermaid.
She revealed that she is popularly called a ‘mami water,’ Nigerian name for a mermaid.
Chikwendu made the assertion while speaking with a friend as she was coming out of a swimming pool.
She added that she does not take it too seriously because she is actually a good mermaid and not a bad one.
She said, “I’m supposed to be a mami. I’m actually a mami. But you know how African people people take this mermaid thing, they take it too serious.
“It’s not as serious. If I’m a Mami or I’m supposed to be a mami, I’m sure I’m a good one. So chose one, good mamis, bad mamis… but some guys will say, fishes are fishes. If you are a fish, you’re a fish.”
In folklore, a mermaid is an aquatic creature with the head and upper body of a female human and the tail of a fish. Mermaids appear in the folklore of many cultures worldwide, including Europe, Asia, and Africa.
