The headquarters of the Enugu State Broadcasting Service is said to have been gutted by fire on Tuesday morning.
Reports say that the the station went up I sales a few minutes after it commenced operation at about 5:30am today.
Meanwhile, a video has emerged showing goods worth millions of Naira that were recovered from the Next Cash and Carry fire incident that occurred in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
The popular supermarket went up in flames on Sunday at about 8:00am, 26th of December, 2021.
Concerned residents and neighbours made frantic efforts to help the shop owners salvage as many of the goods as possible.
This was initially, generally perceived as a looting spree considering that the images looked like the footages of looting from big malls in the face of disaster in the past.
The latest videos from a stakeholder showed a huge pile of the salvaged items in a courtyard around the Cash and Carry stalls.
Expectedly, a few hoodlums took advantage of the chaos to steal some items but were nabbed by security operatives.
On its part, the FCT Command of the Nigeria Police Force has, however, confirmed in a statement earlier that no looting was recorded during the incident.
It explained that the locals only assisted in conveying the goods to a safer place and piled them up there to keep them safe from the fire.
Though efforts were made by firefighters to bring the inferno under control, all were however to no avail as the flames had spread wide and destroyed goods and properties worth millions of Naira.
