President Muhammadu Buhari’s aide, Babafemi Ojudu has disclosed that former President Obasanjo’s son, Olujonwon has vowed to back Vice President Yemi Osinbajo if he declares his presidential ambition.
This was made known in a post on Facebook on Saturday by Ojudu, Buhari’s special adviser on Political Matters.
Ojudu who works in the office of the Vice President stated that Olujonwon visited him on Friday to register his wish that Osinbajo joins the race for the ticket to succeed President Buhari.
He added that Obasanjo’s son vowed to join Osinbajo’s campaign team if decides to announce his presidential ambition.
Ojudu Babafemi said that “Olujonwo Obasanjo, son of former President Olusegun Obasanjo , visited yesterday. He too, like many others, came to register his wish and aspiration that Vice President Yemi Osinbajo throws his hat in the rings for the 2023 contest.
“Smart and brimming with ideas, he promised that if Osinbajo heeds the call of Nigerians he will be willing and ready to volunteer to join the campaign train.
“Thank you Olu. I will pass your message across.
Ojudu himself had declared that he would never support Tinubu’s presidential ambition even if if he remains grateful for the politician’s support to his organisation.
According to him,
“I have seen a statement made by me, many years ago, to celebrate the 60th birthday anniversary of Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu making the rounds. Yes, I did make that statement. And more of such will come in my autobiography. We, together, have seen good days and bad days.
“I and Bola Tinubu have come a long way and we have been there for each other. So, let no one use my acknowledgement of his good deeds and my refusal not to support him in his bid for the Nigeria presidency to portray me as a betrayer.
“Tinubu remains my leader and I will forever cherish him and the contributions he made to my Organisation during our fight against the military.
“He however knows I don’t follow the herd. I make my choices based on very rigid parameters. He will tell you I am very Independent in my actions and ways.”

They call him names, saying he’s a paperweight politician, they said he has no structure, he’s just a member of the ‘Baba sope’ Political School who must be cowed forever for an entitlement claims regardless of his competence, health, stability and broadness of mind to manage this country better.
Yet, his silence on whether or not he will contest the 2023 presidential election keeps giving them nightmares; he’s the one their witches and ‘irunmoles’ crave to keep silent. He was their Star Boy some months ago, but he’s suddenly no more and that have taken up a foe in him all because the reality of the day posed him as a threat to their ‘pot of soup.’
I pray for that grace where my silence will confuse the enemies. Grant therefore Dear Lord your Son, Professor Oluyemi Oluleke omo Osinbajo that triumph of the ‘foolish things of this nation to confound the exaggerated wise, against him;” make all the Goliaths set against him bow before the David you have made him to be.

Prince Adeyera A. Adenle May your tribe increase my distinguished senator. I concur, Pyo is the best candidate for the job. Nigerians are tired of the president who will be ruling and signing memos from London hospital .
Pyo is eminently qualified and has all what it takes to deliver our dear country from this messy situation we are presently. The majority and well meaning Nigerians are anxiously waiting for his declaration especially almost every where in the North and quite reasonable numbers in the south. I will be more than ready to work for him in his campaign. Pyo is God’s project and unstoppable.
