A former Kogi State lawmaker, Senator Dino Melaye has taken to his social media accounts to mount a brother he lost to the Abuja-Kaduna train attack.
The train is said to have been attacked by terrorists on Monday night.
The bandits planted improvised explosive devises (IEDs) on the rail tracks. 30 minutes into the end of the journey, the train ran over the IEDs and exploded.
Several passengers lost their lives in the tragic incident. Some were allegedly abducted by the bandits while those who resisted abduction were said to have been shot dead.
The whereabouts of those abducted is not yet known but news has it that the captors have started contacting families to demand ransom.
Among the passengers declared dead, is Tibile, a Kogi Barrister who was said to be on an official assignment when terrorists attacked the train he boarded.
Sharing a photo of Tibile, Melaye condemned the attack, whilst describing the Barrister as his brother, adding that he was a promising young man.
Dino Melaye wrote: “My Kogi brother Barr. Tibile was killed by the satanic characters that attacked the Abuja bound train. Very promising young man with great prospect. So sad….so painful. Rest in peace“
